Fire safety training is a mandatory element of any facility’s security system. It is aimed not only at complying with legal requirements but also at effectively reducing the risk of fires and minimizing the consequences of emergencies.

Fire safety is considered a condition of a facility in which, through compliance with regulations and organizational measures, fires are prevented and people and property are protected. Personnel training plays a key role in this.

In practice, training includes several areas. First and foremost, briefings are conducted upon hiring, before allowing independent work, and regularly during the course of work. In Uzbekistan, refresher briefings are required at least once every six months, which helps maintain employee preparedness for potential emergencies.

The second area is practical training. Employees must not only know the rules, but also be able to act: use fire extinguishers, navigate evacuation plans, and respond correctly to a fire alarm. These skills are developed through drills and evacuation exercises.

The third component is specialized training programs for responsible individuals. Managers and designated specialists undergo in-depth training, which includes studying regulatory requirements, organizing fire safety procedures at the facility, and interacting with regulatory authorities.

It’s important to remember that training should always be tailored to the specific facility. Risks vary for offices, warehouses, and manufacturing facilities, so training programs are tailored to the specific activities, number of personnel, and fire hazard level.

In practice, training is often provided as part of a comprehensive support program. Companies working in the fire safety field organize briefings, training sessions, and employee knowledge audits, ensuring a systematic approach to facility protection.

The company manager is responsible for organizing training. They are obligated to ensure the development of instructions, the conduct of briefings, and the monitoring of personnel knowledge. A lack of training or a formal approach to it leads not only to fines but also to real risks to people’s lives.

Fire safety training is not a formality. It is a tool that directly impacts business safety. Properly trained personnel can prevent a fire at an early stage or act appropriately in a critical situation, preserving life and property.
